It was an all day event that our amazing professional party band were asked to headline as the last band on that night. Also we provided sound and lighting for the event too. A large marquee was erected on the Buxton grounds at the front of the hall. There were food and drink stalls with local breweries and a gin horse box.
Throughout the day they had various other bands performing jazz, funk and soul and then ‘Punch The Air‘ wrapped the evening up with an Indie, Rock & Pop performance. There was a huge mix of ages there from babies to kids to teens, to adults and pensioners. As you’ll see from our images everyone from young to old had an amazing time.
Derbys charity band ‘Punch The Air‘ experienced a beautiful drive through Ashbourne, the Derbyshire Dales and into The Peak District. We arrived at about 6:30pm and unloaded into the marquee nearby to the stage area. This was in preparation for setting the stage up once the band before had finished performing. We were finally set up and ready to go at about 8:30pm. Then we crashed into our live set starting with Teenage Kicks by The Undertones. Straight away everyone crammed themselves into the tent and then stayed there dancing away the entire night. We performed songs byOne Direction, Rick Astley, The Monkees, Indie Rock cover band tunes by Oasis, The Fratellis, Coldplay, The Killers as well as numbers from the 50s all the way through to modern day.
Rather than take a break half way through our function band decided perform a full 90 minute set in one go as we (And the crowd) didn’t want the night to end. At one point Andy invited a couple of young ladies up on stage to join us for ‘I Love Rock & Roll’ by Joan Jett and they put on a great fun performance themselves too.

Karma Salford Hall was built in the 14th century as a living space for monks from the nearby Evesham Abbey. Of course it has since been converted into a wonderful hotel for weddings, corporate events, live music events and much more. It features thirty six traditional style bedrooms, a coach house, feature period paneling and chandeliers and even 4-poster beds. As you will see from the images on this page of the many times we’ve performed there live it has the most amazing interior and exterior decor. Our wedding cover band love the raised stage area for ‘Punch The Air‘ to perform on with is easy parking and access. This way we can swiftly load in and out without disturbing you and your guests too much.
There is plenty of room on stage for the our Lichfield party band gear and for us to move around on as we perform live for you and your guests. With dancefloor space right in front of the stage and a bar right at the back of the room all your guests have everything they need to enjoy the whole night in one room. The live sound in Lichfield Guildhall is one of the best in the UK due to its size and dimensions.

‘Punch The Air’ – Your Litchfield wedding band?
Lichfield is NOT spelled with a T, so is not to be mistaken for Litchfield, Hampshire. An area of the South East of England near Basingstoke, Reading and Whitchurch which we can also perform in.
‘Punch The Air‘ had a blast at a festival style wedding fair in Shropshire. We performed as a Brook House Farm Shrewsbury wedding band so here are our experiences and all the fun we had performing live and mucking around with the other exhibitors there. Live entertainment songs performed in Shrops are Dakota by Stereophonics, I’m A Believer by The Monkees, Mr Brightside by The Killers. Wonderwall by Oasis, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon, Hey Jude by The Beatles. We also decided to learn and play the Game Of Thrones theme tune for a chuckle. Shropshire function band ‘Punch The Air‘ indie rock function bandrepertoire will show you our full set of amazing pop tunes from modern day back through the decades to the 1950s. Later on in the afternoon we were even joined on stage by Britains Got Talent star singer Pippa Langhorne for Valerie by Amy Winehouse. Also some happy chap joined us on stage to for a cover of Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.
Shropshire Function Band what we got up to
Watch as we get all Salop competitive with traditional style funfair games, there’s drone footage and we chat with other exhibitors. We eat some some Shropshire wedding cake supplier samples. Then we check out Shrops wedding dresses, there are guitar solo’s and we get a bit dizzy. We visit a Shropshire wedding photographer photo booth for hire to have our photos taken and eat some Indian street food. In total we took three Shrops wedding venue bookings from this wedding fair so it was a very successful (And tiring) days work for indie rock cover band Punch The Air. Also in Oswestry, Bishops Castle, Wellington, Church Stretton and more. ‘Punch The Air‘ perform 2 x live performances, (Or one long performance if you want) all PA, speakers and lighting are included in our fee. You will also receive iPad DJ services from when we are set up until midnight. So you can continue to party the night away when we’re not performing live. It is a beautiful Palladian mansion set amongst 100 acres of landscaped park. Our Somerford Brewood wedding band ‘Punch The Air‘ love how it features a wonderful ballroom with high ceilings, a bay window and beautiful duck egg blue walls capable of holding approx 102 guests (Maximum 150 guests throughout the entire venue). The location of this wedding venue is excellent being very near to the main A449 Stafford Road. It has very easy access to Wolverhampton, Penkridge, Codsall Wood, Newport and Stafford. It is very easy to have your Classic Indie Rock Anthems band Punch The Air set up and perform in the Ballroom as there is a door right next to the stage area (Which is right next to the parking area) for easy loading in and out. It’s pretty much 5 steps and a single door and we’re in. Then we’re ready to set up thus leading to minimum disruptions. As Somerford Hall Staffs features many little side rooms and corridors guests are easily able to be in a different part of the building while this professional party band set up and soundcheck. When you book a wedding band in Brewood we’ll handle all your live entertainment.

You’ll hear massive Indie cover band Anthems from Oasis, The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Pulp, The Fratellis. Plus pop chart hits repertoire from modern day all the way back through to the 50’s. We’ll bring along everything needed to make your wedding an amazing night to remember forever. This includes PA, speakers, lighting, and DJ services until midnight. So that’s all your evening live entertainment sorted with no other faffing around.

The Ballroom at Hall.
The Ballroom is a perfect size for Punch The Air as it is 12m x 7m. There is plenty of room for the wedding band to perform. Subsequently leaving lots of great space for guests to dance or just sit down and enjoy the music. The sound of the room is slightly echoy due to the high walls and ceiling. Once there are a few guests in the room the echo is quickly absorbed. Our indie rock cover band will make sure the room sounds fantastic for you and all your guests.

One of the great things about Somerford Hall Stafford is that the evening buffet can be served in one of the many other little rooms off the Ballroom. This way its not taking up space in the main live wedding entertainment area.

Volume levels for Staffs wedding band
Although the Somerford Hall website states that volume must be limited to 75 decibels there is no noise limiter. Therefore this did not prove an issue for wedding party bandPunch The Air while performing live there on any occasion. We’ve performed many wedding receptions at this Stafford wedding venue with guests often coming as far as Cheshire, Congleton and Macclesfield. We can highly recommend Somerford Hall for your special day due to its beautiful interior and exterior and accessibility.
