Blackheath Coronation Social Club Wedding Band

Booking a Blackheath Coronation Social Club wedding band means having the venue to yourselves for the evening, and that’s exactly how Punch The Air like to work. We’re a three-piece guitar band who’ve been playing weddings, private parties and functions since 2013, and when a couple privately hires the function room at George Avenue for their reception, we treat it like any other wedding booking: your guests, your dance floor, no one else’s night running alongside it. Contact band leader Andy to check on fee and availability.

What to Expect from a Blackheath Coronation Social Club Wedding Band

With the room privately hired for your reception, there’s no shared bar or fixed changeover to work around. We can get set up while the earlier part of your day is still winding down, sort our levels quietly, and be ready to go the moment your guests are ready for live music. We play a set that moves through decades without ever sounding like a jukebox, and because it’s your night alone in the room, we can shape the pace of the evening around you rather than around anyone else’s schedule.

The Band & Musicians Behind Punch The Air

Punch The Air is led by singer and bass player Andy Starkey, and the three of us have built our whole approach around one idea: play the songs people actually want to hear, played properly, without a wall of backing tracks doing the heavy lifting. Guitars are real, the rhythm section is real, and the vocals sit on top of that rather than fighting a laptop. It’s a format that works whether we’re in a converted barn or, as here, a function room booked out exclusively for a wedding.

Your Privately Hired Function Room on George Avenue

Blackheath Coronation Social Club sits on George Avenue in Rowley Regis, and the venue offers a function room, a bar, parking for guests and a garden, which together give you what you need for an evening reception. Once a room like this is hired exclusively for a wedding, it becomes yours for the night, and that’s the way we prefer things: one guest list, one dance floor, and a room that’s set up around your reception rather than shared with anyone else.

Songs We Bring to Rowley Regis Wedding Receptions

Every setlist gets shaped around the crowd on the night, but our core repertoire pulls from guitar bands across the last sixty years. We might slide from The Fratellis into a Van Morrison classic, drop in something by Feeder or Wheatus for the indie disco crowd, then finish with Bryan Adams or The Undertones for the people who want to sing along rather than just dance. You can see the full list of artists and songs we play before you book, so there’s no guesswork involved.

Other Private Hire Events at Blackheath

While wedding receptions bring us to venues like this one most often, a privately hired function room with its own bar is just as well suited to birthdays, wedding anniversaries, retirement parties or a corporate get-together. If you’re planning something at Blackheath Coronation Social Club that isn’t strictly a wedding, we’re just as happy to talk through what would work for your booking.

Sandwell and the Black Country

Rowley Regis sits right in the heart of Sandwell, close to Halesowen, Cradley Heath and Old Hill, and only a short drive from Birmingham and Dudley. We also cover bookings further out towards Wolverhampton and across the wider West Midlands region, as well as into Worcestershire and back up towards our own patch in Staffordshire. As an indie rock party band, distance rarely puts us off, so if your venue isn’t listed here, just ask.

We’ve played similar privately hired functions at Baddesley Ensor Social Club and Burntwood Rugby Club elsewhere in the Midlands.

A Few Questions About Booking

Does the venue need to be privately hired?

Yes. We play private wedding bookings where the function room has been hired exclusively for your reception, not open club nights or shared events.

What other events could the band play at Blackheath Coronation Social Club?

Alongside wedding receptions we regularly play birthdays, anniversaries, corporate get-togethers and other private hire evenings, so it doesn’t need to be a wedding for us to be a good fit.

How do we check availability for a Blackheath Coronation Social Club Wedding Band?

Get in touch with Andy through the contact page with your date and he’ll confirm availability and pricing directly.

Commissioners House Kent Wedding Band

If you are hunting for a Commissioner’s House Kent wedding band with a proper set list and no fuss, you have landed in the right spot. Punch The Air are a three-piece guitar-based indie rock covers band who spend our weekends and week days turning wedding receptions, private parties and corporate do’s into the kind of night people still talk about a year or 15 later. A Georgian house on the banks of the Medway, filled with guests and a decent PA, is exactly our idea of a good Friday, Saturday or any day of the week. Contact band leader Andy to check on fee and availability.

Commissioners House Kent Wedding Band
Commissioners House Kent Wedding Band

Quick facts: Three-piece indie rock covers band. Formed in 2013. Full PA and lighting supplied. Available for wedding receptions, private parties, anniversaries and corporate events across Kent.

Why couples ask us to play as their Commissioners House Kent Wedding Band

We are not a covers act that reads off a fixed set list and hopes for the best. Andy Starkey, our singer and bass player, has been leading this band since 2013, and over that time we have worked out which songs actually get a room like Commissioner’s House moving and which ones just sound nice on paper. Guests want the songs they already know the words to, played with real guitars and a real drum kit, not a backing track. That is the whole idea behind Punch The Air, and it is why so much of our diary is built on personal recommendations from previous wedding parties rather than adverts.

What a Commissioner’s House Kent wedding band actually sounds like in the room

A Georgian house with high ceilings and wooden floors carries sound differently to a modern marquee, and we adjust our levels accordingly rather than turning up and hoping. We keep our own PA and lighting rig, which means we do not rely on the venue for equipment, and we always arrive early enough to get sound checked and out of the way before your guests start arriving. The result is a set that fills the room properly during the evening reception without drowning out conversation earlier in the night when people are still catching up over a drink.

Songs we play, and where to see our full set list

Our repertoire leans heavily on guitar-driven indie rock, with a few well-chosen curveballs thrown in to keep the dance floor guessing. On any given night you might hear Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis sitting next to Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus, with a bit of Feeder and some Van Morrison and Beatles for the guests who prefer their music with a bit more soul in it. We also cover Amy Winehouse and other songs when the moment calls for something slower before the tempo picks back up again. You can browse our full set list and get a proper feel for the range before you book.

Weddings, corporate events and private parties at the Historic Dockyard

Commissioner’s House sits within the Historic Dockyard estate in Chatham, one of Kent’s newer wedding venues following a full restoration of its Georgian rooms and gardens. The house itself, Britain’s oldest naval building, offers exclusive use for up to 200 guests, with the surrounding Commissioner’s Garden providing a proper setting for a drinks reception before the evening party gets underway. It is not just a wedding venue either. We are just as happy turning up for a milestone birthday, a wedding anniversary or a company celebration hired privately on the estate, with the same set list and the same effort put in regardless of the occasion.

The full address is Commissioner’s House, The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TZ, and it is easy enough to find whether you are driving in or arriving by train.

Kent and the Medway towns

Chatham sits within the Medway towns alongside Rochester and Gillingham, with Maidstone a short drive further south. The estate is around 35 miles from central London, which makes it a realistic option for guests travelling in from further afield without an overnight stay becoming compulsory. We regularly play weddings and private parties across this part of Kent, so if your venue is nearby but not listed on our site, it is still well worth asking Andy whether we can make it work.

If you like the idea of a proper indie rock party band rather than a generic function act, Punch The Air might be exactly what your evening reception needs.

Chillington Hall Wedding Band

Looking for a Chillington Hall wedding band that can fill a Georgian saloon with energy rather than just background noise? Punch The Air is a three-piece indie rock covers band from Staffordshire and we spend our weekends playing wedding receptions and parties in country houses and function rooms across Staffordshire. Chillington Hall’s grand interiors and gardens make for one of the more memorable settings we get to play, and we tailor our set to suit the room, whether that’s the Grand Saloon or a marquee on the lawn. Contact band leader Andy to check on fee and availability.

What a Chillington Hall Wedding Band Actually Sounds Like

We’re not a covers band that plays it safe. Punch The Air is built around real guitars, live bass and a proper drum kit, and we perform songs the way the original bands intended them to be heard rather than watered down for a wedding disco. Andy fronts the band on vocals and bass, and the three of us have been playing together since 2013, which means the sound is tight without being overly polished. For a Chillington Hall wedding band booking, that usually means an evening set once the wedding breakfast has finished and the buffet and cake cutting have occurred so everyone is ready for something with a bit of volume.

Songs You Might Hear From Your Chillington Hall Wedding Band

Our full repertoire and song list covers several decades of indie and rock, and we rotate the setlist depending on the crowd. A typical night might take in Stereophonics, The Fratellis, Feeder and Kaiser Chiefs alongside a couple of older classics such as Bryan Adams, The Beatles, George Ezra, giving guests of different ages something to sing along to. We’re happy to talk through song choices with you before the day so the set fits the mood you’re after.

About Chillington Hall

Chillington Hall is a Grade I listed Georgian house near Brewood that has been home to the Giffard family for centuries. The current house dates largely from 1724, with later remodelling in the 1780s, and sits within parkland that was landscaped in the eighteenth century, complete with a lake and long avenue of trees. For weddings, couples typically have exclusive use of the house, including the Front Hall, Drawing Room, Marble Hall and the Grand Saloon, a striking domed room that can seat up to around 130 guests for a ceremony or blessing. The gardens provide a natural backdrop for photographs whatever the season, and the setting works equally well for smaller, more intimate wedding breakfasts as it does for a full evening reception.

Weddings and Private Events Near Brewood and Wolverhampton

Chillington Hall sits on the Staffordshire and Shropshire border, only a few miles from Wolverhampton and close to the village of Brewood itself, so it’s an easy venue for guests travelling from across the wider West Midlands to reach. We regularly play weddings and functions throughout Staffordshire and into Shropshire, so we know the area well and are used to loading in at country house venues where access and setup times need a bit of planning. As an indie rock party band, we also play plenty of events outside of weddings, including corporate functions, birthday parties, anniversaries and private celebrations, so if you’re organising something other than a wedding reception at Chillington Hall we’d still love to hear from you.

Booking a Chillington Hall Wedding Band

If you’d like Punch The Air as your Chillington Hall wedding band, the best next step is to get in touch with Andy directly with your date and rough timings, and he’ll let you know availability and pricing. We’re used to working around venue curfews and sound requirements at listed buildings, and we’ll always liaise with the venue in advance to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Chillington Hall Wedding Band: Frequently Asked Questions

Can Punch The Air play both the ceremony drinks reception and the evening party at Chillington Hall?
Yes, we’re flexible on timings and can discuss playing across different parts of the day depending on what you need. Andy also provides an acoustic solo daytime option.

How much space does the band need to set up?
As a three-piece we’re able to work with fairly modest stage areas, which suits period rooms like those at Chillington Hall.

Do you take song requests for a Chillington Hall wedding band booking?
Absolutely. We’re happy to build some of your own favourites into the set alongside our usual repertoire.

Bosworth Hall Wedding Band

Looking for a Bosworth Hall wedding band to soundtrack your reception in the heart of Leicestershire? Punch The Air is a three-piece indie rock covers band and we’ve built a reputation for turning wedding evenings into proper singalong parties rather than polite background music. Fronted by singer and bass player Andy Starkey, we bring a tight, energetic set built from two decades of indie anthems, played live rather than triggered off a laptop. Contact band leader Andy to check on fee and availability for your date at Bosworth Hall.

Your Bosworth Hall Wedding Band for a Night to Remember

A wedding day builds towards the evening reception, and that’s where a live band earns its keep. We’ve watched enough dancefloors fill and empty to know what works: a set that moves between big, obvious singalongs and slightly less predictable choices that still land. Rather than a covers band greatest-hits list played note-for-note, we put our own energy into every song while keeping the melodies and hooks people came to hear.

Live Indie Rock Covers for Your Wedding Reception

Our sets draw from bands like Kings Of Leon, The Fratellis and Feeder, so expect songs such as Sex On Fire, Chelsea Dagger and The Cure alongside quieter, more atmospheric choices to vary the pace across the evening. We also pull in tracks from George Ezra, Amy Winehouse and The Beatles when the room wants something a little different from the usual well known indie disco staples. You can browse our full wedding band repertoire before booking, and Andy’s always happy to talk through a rough shape for the set with you directly.

What Punch The Air Perform as a Bosworth Hall Wedding Band

Every wedding is different, so we treat the evening reception as three loose stages rather than one flat setlist. We open a little steadier to bring guests onto the floor without overwhelming anyone straight off the wedding breakfast, build through the middle with the tracks that reliably get a room moving, and finish strong so the night ends on a high rather than fizzling out. As an indie rock party band, that pacing matters as much as the song choices themselves.

Inside Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa

Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa is a Grade II listed Elizabethan mansion set within eleven acres of landscaped gardens and parkland just outside Market Bosworth. The hall combines 17th century architecture with more modern hotel comforts, and its function suites are geared specifically towards wedding ceremonies, receptions and evening celebrations. The Britannia Suite is the largest of these spaces, able to be divided into two sections for smaller events, while rooms such as the Harcourt Suite, the Tollemache Room and the Library Room offer more intimate settings depending on guest numbers. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym for wedding parties staying overnight.

Weddings, Parties and Corporate Events Near Market Bosworth

While weddings are our bread and butter at a venue like this, Bosworth Hall’s function suites lend themselves equally well to other celebrations we’re regularly booked for, including birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, private hire evenings and corporate events. If you’re organising a company party, an anniversary celebration or any other private function at Bosworth Hall, the same live set that works for a wedding evening translates just as well to those occasions.

Towns and Counties Close to Market Bosworth

Bosworth Hall sits right on the border between Leicestershire and Warwickshire, so we regularly play weddings for couples travelling in from both counties as well as further afield. We’re no strangers to nearby Nuneaton, where we’ve played events at venues including Oakridge Golf Club, and we’ve also performed at Mythe Barn near Atherstone, a short drive from Market Bosworth. For a broader look at where else we cover across the region, our Leicestershire wedding band and Warwickshire wedding band pages both cover areas within easy reach of Bosworth Hall.

Bolehall Swifts Wedding Band

Looking for a Bolehall Swifts wedding band to soundtrack your big day at this popular Tamworth social club? Punch The Air is a three-piece indie rock covers band who bring the energy of festival headliners to weddings, parties and celebrations across Staffordshire and Warwickshire, and Bolehall Swifts Social Club is exactly the kind of relaxed, sociable venue where our sound comes into its own. Bolehall Swifts Wedding Band

A Bolehall Swifts Wedding Band That Plays It Loud (In A Good Way)

We formed back in 2013 and have spent the years since building a reputation as a tight, high energy three-piece rather than a covers band that plays it safe. As a Bolehall Swifts wedding band we lean into that reputation rather than shy away from it. There’s no backing tracks filling out our sound and no watered down setlist designed to please nobody in particular. It’s guitar, bass and drums, played properly, with vocals that carry across a packed function room.

Andy fronts the band on vocals and bass, and between songs he’s the one keeping the night moving, taking requests where he can and reading the room so the set never dips. It’s a skill that only really comes from years of doing this in front of real audiences, not rehearsal rooms.

The Setlist: Indie Anthems, Not Wedding Cliches

Our repertoire runs through two decades of guitar music that people actually want to dance to. Expect tracks from The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis and Foo Fighters, alongside a few curveballs like Wheatus and Fountains Of Wayne thrown in to keep things interesting. Plus chart hits from over the decades from Queen, Bryan Adams, The Beatles and more.  You can browse our full repertoire and song list for the complete picture, but the short version is this: we play the songs that get a genuine reaction, not the ones that just tick a box.

Why An Indie Rock Wedding Band Suits A Club Setting

Function rooms attached to social and football clubs tend to have a completely different atmosphere to hotel ballrooms or barns, and that works in our favour. Guests are there to let their hair down, the bar’s close by, and there’s usually a bit less formality in the air. As an indie rock wedding band, that suits us down to the ground. We are able to adapt comfortably to a compact stage area without losing any punch in the sound, so smaller function rooms are never an issue for us.

Not Just Weddings

While a wedding reception is the booking we get asked about most, Bolehall Swifts also hosts christenings, baby showers, birthday parties, Christmas parties, celebration dinners and business meetings, and we’re just as at home playing any of these. If you’re planning a milestone birthday, a wedding anniversary party or a private celebration and want a live band rather than a playlist, we’d love to hear from you.

About Bolehall Swifts Social Club

Bolehall Swifts Social Club is the clubhouse of Bolehall Swifts Football Club, located at 62 Rene Road, Bolehall, Tamworth, B77 3NW. The function room seats up to 120 guests and comes with a fully licensed bar, ample car parking. For business bookings there’s also a projector, large screen and microphone facility available, though it’s the wedding parties and celebration nights where the room really comes alive.

Tamworth And The Surrounding Area

Bolehall sits on the eastern edge of Tamworth, close to the Warwickshire border, which makes the venue an easy option for couples drawing guests from both counties. We regularly play weddings not far from here too, including bookings at Mythe Barn near Atherstone and further afield across Warwickshire and Staffordshire, so we know the local roads, the local venues and generally how to get a room like this one moving.

Booking An Indie Rock Party Band For Bolehall Swifts

If you’re planning your wedding reception, engagement party or any other celebration at Bolehall Swifts and want a live band that plays with genuine energy rather than going through the motions, get in touch and Andy will talk through your date, timings and everything else you need to know. You can also read more on our frequently asked questions page if you’ve got specific queries about set times, equipment or space requirements.

Other clubs and venues we’ve played recently include Burton Albion Football Club, Hednesford Football Club and Baddesley Ensor Social Club, so if a club or social venue setting is what you’re after, we’ve got plenty of experience there.

Bolehall Manor Wedding Band

Looking for a Bolehall Manor wedding band to soundtrack your reception? Punch The Air are a three-piece, guitar-driven indie rock covers band who have been playing weddings and functions since 2013, and Tamworth’s Bolehall Manor is well within easy reach of our home patch in Lichfield. Fronted by singer and bass player Andy Starkey, the band brings a genuine live three-piece sound rather than a backing track or laptop, covering the sort of guitar anthems that get a room singing rather than just standing at the bar. Whether your reception is in the main function room or spills out into the grounds, the aim is the same: a proper live band experience for you and your guests. Contact band leader Andy to check on fee and availability for your date at Bolehall Manor.

Live Music From Punch The Air At Bolehall Manor

A wedding reception lives or dies on the atmosphere in the room once the meal is cleared away, and that’s where a live band earns its keep. Punch The Air play a set built around big, recognisable guitar tracks rather than obscure deep cuts, so guests of every age have something to dance to. As a three-piece the band keeps the stage footprint manageable, which suits function rooms like the one at Bolehall Manor, while still delivering a full, driving sound through guitar, bass and drums. Andy and the band have played venues of this kind many times over the years, so setting up efficiently around a wedding day timeline is second nature.

Fox and Goose Chesterfield Wedding Band
Fox and Goose Chesterfield Wedding Band

A Fox and Goose Chesterfield Wedding Band Built On Guitars And Energy

Punch The Air have spent well over a decade playing weddings, so the band know exactly how to read a room and keep guests on their feet. As a three-piece, the line-up is deliberately lean, guitar, bass and drums, which means the band can turn a big, full sound without needing a huge stage footprint. That matters at a venue like The Fox & Goose, where the performance space is more compact than a purpose-built function hall.

Electronic Drums For A Snug Performance Space

The Fox & Goose Inn is a wonderful setting for a wedding, but the area set aside for live music is a small, box-shaped spot of roughly three metres by three metres. Because of this, an electronic drum kit is essential for any band performing there. Punch The Air carry an electronic kit specifically for venues with tighter performance areas such as this one, and for venues that run sound limiters, so the band can adapt without losing any of the drive and impact of a full live sound. It’s worth noting that The Fox & Goose doesn’t currently operate a sound limiter, but the compact stage area alone makes the electronic kit the sensible choice here.

Guitar, bass and electronic drums, arranged to suit the room without ever sounding thin or watered down.

Songs Guests Actually Want To Hear as a Fox And Goose Chesterfield Wedding Band

The repertoire spans indie and rock favourites from bands including The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis and Kaiser Chiefs, alongside classic wedding-friendly tracks by The Beatles and Bryan Adams. It’s this mix of guitar-band energy and familiar sing-along moments that makes Punch The Air a popular choice as an indie rock wedding band for couples who want something with a bit more edge than a standard function band.

As a self-contained three-piece we carry our own PA and lighting rig, so there’s no need to hire in extra sound equipment, and we handle our own setup and soundcheck without disrupting your day. Our aim on every wedding reception is simple: a set that starts strong, reads the room, and keeps the dancefloor busy right through to the final song of the night.

Songs and Artists We Cover

Guests tend to remember an indie rock wedding band for the songs it chooses, not just how well it plays them. Alongside the indie staples we work through material from Wheatus, James, Fountains Of Wayne, Feeder, Walk The Moon, George Ezra, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse and Van Morrison, giving us the range to move from an upbeat opener into slower moments and back into full-on party mode. If you’d like the complete list, our repertoire page is the best place to check song by song before your wedding party.

About Benjamins, Birmingham Street, Halesowen

Benjamins Banqueting Suites is based at Birmingham Street, Halesowen, B63 3HN, in a converted former chapel building that has hosted wedding receptions and functions in the town for well over two decades. The venue is set out over two floors, with the Cornbow Room on the lower level offering its own stage area, and the Aldridge and Beaumont Suites upstairs, which can be opened out into one larger open-plan space for bigger wedding parties. That stage space in the Cornbow Room in particular makes for a straightforward, practical setup for a live band on the night.

Halesowen and the Surrounding Area

Halesowen sits close to Birmingham, Dudley and Stourbridge, which means guests travelling in for a wedding at Benjamins often come from right across the Black Country and the wider West Midlands. We’re equally at home playing venues further out too, having covered functions across West Midlands and Worcestershire wedding venues, as well as bookings nearer Wolverhampton and Solihull. If you’re planning a wedding reception a little further afield, our Dudley wedding band page covers another popular venue nearby.

Whether you’re after an indie rock wedding band for a full evening reception or a shorter set to close out the day, Punch The Air can build the night around what works for your wedding party. Get in touch with Andy to talk through timings, set length and pricing for your date at Benjamins.

Why Choose a Live Salt House Wedding Band

Booking a live act for a wedding reception is one of those decisions that shapes the entire feel of the evening, and it’s something we think about a great deal. When you’re weighing up a Salt House wedding band against other entertainment options, it helps to know exactly what you’re getting. Punch The Air isn’t a covers act that plays it safe with background music. This is a proper indie rock party band built around guitar, bass and drums, delivering songs that people actually want to hear rather than lift music.

The band’s setlist draws from bands and artists that consistently fill dancefloors, including The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Oasis, alongside singalong favourites from The Beatles and Kings Of Leon. You can browse the band’s full indie rock repertoire and song list here. Here’s a short clip of the band in action:

A Genuine Three Piece Sound

There’s something about a three piece line up that a lot of function bands lose when they overcrowd the stage. Andy’s vocals and bass sit alongside guitar and drums to create a tight, punchy sound that fills a room without needing a huge footprint. It’s a set up that has worked at everything from grand country house venues to village halls, and it’s exactly the kind of act that suits a Salt House wedding band booking, where the space is elegant but the atmosphere should still feel loose and celebratory.

Building the Right Atmosphere at Salt House

Every wedding reception has its own rhythm, and part of what makes Punch The Air work so well is reading a room and knowing when to bring the energy up. Guests at a Salt House wedding band performance can expect a set that moves through indie classics, chart toppers from over the decades and a few surprises, all delivered live rather than through a backing track heavy performance. The band has spent over a decade honing exactly this skill, and it shows in how consistently the dancefloor fills up.
