Timings For The Evening And Live Music Earlier On
Most couples ask us to play one long set once the cake has been cut and the buffet has been cleared away. There are no distractions that way, and you get the best of the band while everyone is fed, watered and ready to dance. That said if you’d rather we performed two sets instead then this really isn’t an issue for us. It’s your wedding so you should always have it your way.
If you would like live music during the ceremony, or while the prosecco is flowing before the wedding breakfast, Andy also offers a solo acoustic performance earlier in the day especially for this.
Weddings At The Foundation In Appleby Magna
The venue is the Sir John Moore Foundation, Top Street, Appleby Magna, Leicestershire, DE12 7AH. It is a Grade I listed building with a proper sense of history. Sir John Moore made his fortune in London and chose to use it for the benefit of his home county, and the building was completed in 1697. A statue of Sir John himself stands in the main hall. It is also a registered charity, so money raised through hiring the building goes back into looking after it.
Couples tend to call it simply The Foundation when they talk about weddings there, and it hosts parties, christenings and corporate events as well. Once your date is confirmed we are happy to speak with the venue’s own team about arrival times and access.
