The venue Punch The Air performed in was a metal lambing shed and having had a band play there once before it was mentioned to band leader Andy that the sound “Wasn’t very good in there”. So he popped on over (Luckily it was only 9 minutes from his home) and he spoke with the bride and groom to be giving them advice on how they should add bails of hay around the shed (Especially at the rear of the band) to help absorb any unwanted reflections and frequencies.

THEY LISTENED and boy did they do their homework…….The sound in the lambing shed was phenomenal, it was better than MOST wedding venues Punch The Air perform at. It was incredibly for professional sound engineer Andy Starkey to easy to dial in a brilliant mix at exactly the right volume too with no feedback and no bouncing around of unwanted sound around the venue.

It’s always nice when brides and grooms listen to what musicians have to say when we have been doing this kind of work for over a decade now…..And it REALLY DID pay off. We secured a Christmas wedding band in December gig off the back of this, so it all goes to show what an amazing wedding reception it was. Check out the photos below.
