If the Irish Club is where your wedding party is happening, you’ll want a band that gets the bride and groom’s friends and relatives moving without anyone needing to be coaxed onto the floor. That’s what we do. There are three of us, with Andy on lead vocals and bass, and we’ve been going since 2013. Everything you hear is played live, from the opening chord to the last singalong chorus.
Couples often ask when we should play, so here’s what we’ve found works best. We like to go on once the cake has been cut and the buffet has been cleared away, so there are no distractions and everybody has a drink in hand and is ready to go. One long performance makes the best use of the band’s time at your wedding reception. That said, if you’d rather we performed two sets instead then this really isn’t an issue for us. It’s your wedding so you should always have it your way.
Maybe your day starts with a toast and you’d like some live music while the prosecco is being poured before the wedding breakfast? Andy also offers a solo acoustic performance earlier on in the day especially for that.
What To Expect From Our Live Indie Rock Set
Expect big choruses, loud guitars and a lot of singing along. We read the room as we go, so if the dancefloor is after more indie rock we keep it coming, and if the older guests are waiting on something with a different swing to it, we’ve got a good few classics up our sleeves for them too. You’ll deal with the band directly, with no agency fees added on top, and we’re always happy to talk through how you’d like the night to feel.

Our full repertoire is online, and it’s worth a proper browse. A few that tend to bring the house down are Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Teenage Kicks by The Undertones, There She Goes by The La’s, Disco 2000 by Pulp, Tubthumping by Chumbawamba and Place Your Hands by Reef. Then there’s Ever Fallen In Love by Buzzcocks, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Day We Caught The Train by Ocean Colour Scene for the singalong moments. With it being an Irish club, it’s nice to know that Van Morrison and The Undertones, both from Northern Ireland, sit comfortably in our set list.
About The Irish Club On Adelaide Road, Leamington Spa
The venue is St Patricks Irish Club, 4 Adelaide Road, Royal Leamington Spa, Leamington Spa, CV32 5AH, which sits alongside the River Leam. The club was founded in 1963 by Leamington’s Irish community and is affectionately known as the Hoot. The current building on Adelaide Road was officially reopened in April 1994, and the club welcomes everyone, whatever their background. Over the years its calendar has taken in live music nights, charity fundraisers and big St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Mostly guitar led indie rock and pop, with a good helping of classics from the 50s through to the 90s so that every generation at the party has something to dance to.
Do you only play weddings?
Not at all. We play birthdays, anniversaries, retirement parties, Christmas parties, charity events and corporate events too.
