About Abbeywood Estate: 

Abbeywood is a family-run, 45-acre estate tucked into the Delamere countryside, with the Rowlinson family having opened the gardens and grounds to weddings for years. The setting borrows heavily from the woodland and hills around it, and most couples who book here are drawn in by the mix of manicured lawns, exotic planting and genuinely rural backdrop, all within easy reach of the A556 between Northwich and Chester.

The Rooms

There are three main spaces couples tend to choose between at Abbeywood. The Glasshouse is the largest, licensed for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts for up to around 190 guests, and its glazed structure makes it a bright, flexible room for an evening party. The Garden Cafe is smaller and more informal, seating roughly 80 for the wedding breakfast and holding up to 85 for an evening do with its own bar. The Orangery, meanwhile, suits more intimate ceremonies of up to about 70, with views straight out over the exotic garden.

Because Abbeywood offers a genuine choice of rooms rather than one fixed function suite, we always take a look at which space you’ve booked before your wedding. A Glasshouse evening party with 190 guests calls for a different set-up to a smaller Garden Cafe celebration, and we tailor our stage position and sound to suit whichever room you’re in.
