60th Birthday – Andy performing solo acoustic – Walton, Derbyshire – May 2018
Andy Starkey solo acoustic took to the stage again for a fantastic 60th birthday celebration in Walton-Upon-Trent, marking Paul’s big day in style. It’s hard to believe just how loud and lively this crowd became considering it was only Andy with his acoustic set up. You’d have sworn a full electric rock band was on stage. That was more or less the energy in the room from start to finish.
Indie Covers Band Wedding – White Hart Alfreton Wedding Band Derbyshire – May 2018
Another Derbyshire wedding band booking, this time celebrating Jamie and Sam’s big day, came with a venue sound limiter, so out came our electronic drum kit to keep within the required volume levels. The White Hart Inn Alfreton Wedding Band reception space really is a lovely setting with brilliant access for getting our gear in quickly. We’ve returned here time and again and always have a great night. Our indie rock covers band typically performs at the White Hart Inn a handful of times each year.
Wedding – Lower Damgate Farm Wedding Band Ashbourne – April 2018
Late April 2018 saw us play at Rachel and Steve’s wedding, held at the brilliant Lower Damgate Farm near Ashbourne. It’s a DIY-style venue complete with friendly goats and alpacas, plus a charming interior and a generously sized stage. Worth noting: this venue runs a sound limiter, so any band booked here will need an electronic drum kit, exactly as ‘Punch The Air’ use for this reason.

Here’s Andy from ‘Punch The Air’ performing solo for Tony’s 70th birthday at the wonderful St Johns House, Lichfield, a venue we’ve returned to many times, both as a full band and under various acoustic line-ups.

Staffordshire wedding band Punch The Air are huge fans of playing Moxhull Hall, as we perform there on a regular basis. The grounds are genuinely interesting to look around, and the interior layout has clearly been thought through with live music in mind. It’s run to a very high, professional standard throughout, and the food is something special too.
