This year like every year I’ll be bringing my Christmas Singalong with Andy Starkey show to bars, pubs, restaurants, Christmas light switch on festivals or even private parties in your area. Together we’ll get ready for the festive season by singing some Christmas classics together and having a good laugh while we do so. I’ll bring lyric books for everyone in the venue so they can sing with me and not have to remember any lyrics. Theme Tune Thursday ‘Baywatch Theme’
Andy is one of those musicians that is always up for trying something different which is why he started his ‘Theme Tune Thursdays’ set of videos. Here he is performing the Theme to Baywatch “I’m Always Here” originally sung by Jimi Jamison from ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ Rocky theme fame band Survivor. This song was a request at a wedding that Andy had never thought to cover before and learned it the following week.

A request from a fan, this sad little tune was recorded on a scorching hot Summers day.
Another scorching hot Summer’s day in Staffordshire and another theme tune. This time its Australian TV series ‘Sons and Daughters’ which ran from 1982 to 1987. Written by Peter Pinne & Don Battye and originally performed by Mick Leyton and Kerrie Biddell. This is the version that some people say is in 3/4 timing, but Andy believes it’s actually in 6/8 timing.

Farmers Wedding Band
Why not convert your cattle shed or lambing shed into a brilliant wedding venue with live music like Naomi and Nathan did below and forget all about farming and mucking out for a few days. This was the absolute perfect wedding reception, awesome bride and groom, super guests, rammed dance-floor all night long until the end of the night, great atmosphere & music and great SOUND….
Farmers Wedding Band
The venue Punch The Air performed in was a metal lambing shed and having had a band play there once before it was mentioned to band leader Andy that the sound “Wasn’t very good in there”. So he popped on over (Luckily it was only 9 minutes from his home) and he spoke with the bride and groom to be giving them advice on how they should add bails of hay around the shed (Especially at the rear of the band) to help absorb any unwanted reflections and frequencies.
THEY LISTENED and boy did they do their homework…….The sound in the lambing shed was phenomenal, it was better than MOST wedding venues Punch The Air perform at. It was incredibly for professional sound engineer Andy Starkey to easy to dial in a brilliant mix at exactly the right volume too with no feedback and no bouncing around of unwanted sound around the venue.
It’s always nice when brides and grooms listen to what musicians have to say when we have been doing this kind of work for over a decade now…..And it REALLY DID pay off. We secured a Christmas wedding band in December gig off the back of this, so it all goes to show what an amazing wedding reception it was. Check out the photos below.
